Racing at the drag strip.
This is a very good place to check
the performance of a vehicle.
--------------------------------------------------------------
|
|
At my first session at
the strip my fastest time was only
16.78secs which I was disappointed with as Russ Smith had
run a 16.49.

With a bit of practice
and better weather I ran a 15.97
which I was very happy about. A rolling road session gave
75bhp @ 4000rpm @ the wheels. This is an estimated
95bhp @ 6000rpm.

The original paint was
beginning to look tired so a respray
was done while Mum and Dad were away just before the
national Minor rally. I also had exams during this period.

The rebuild continued
right up to the night before the
National Morris Minor rally.

The national Minor rally
at Weston Park. The car created
some interest especially from Russ Smith as he had given me
advice on the twin cam installation.
